What's this about Autism Speaks?
When I began the journey, I wanted to find something I could support that would push me to press on in the face of my own failure. That something was easy for me to select, and is Autism. It is a cause I consider near and dear to my heart even though I do not have relatives with autism or children with autism.
I've had the pleasure, and have been highly blessed, to have befriended amazing people whom have children with autism. I am constantly reminded of how these children are not autistic, they simply have autism. It is a condition, and as more and more research is conducted on the condition, more and more we are finding out that is less a disease, and more simply just a condition.
